Amwell to become our next “people-friendly streets” neighbourhood
Islington Council announced yesterday that Amwell will become the 5th area in the borough where measures to reduce through-traffic are rolled out. Works are set to start on October 5th and will include the installation of traffic filters at four streets.

The first set of people-friendly streets have been created in our neighbourhood. Traffic filters have been installed at Sans Walk, Corporation Row and Aylesbury Street. These measures prevent motor vehicles from driving across the area, but still allow access for buses, emergency vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
